Sustainable Fruit Production to Minimize Residues
Focus of Working
Limiting residues on fruits is a common key issue for European fruit production. The EUFRIN Working Group “Sustainable Fruit Production to Minimize Residues” is a network of researchers focused on integrated pest management (IPM) practices, low-input systems, alternative plant protection methods (including cultural, biological, biotechnological, physical, and mechanical approaches), and storage techniques to reduce pesticide use.
Seventeen institutes from 15 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK) exchange experiences and results on pome fruits, stone fruits, berries, and citrus fruits.
