Focus of Working

The Nut Tree Species WG focuses on innovations in the research and production of Persian walnut, almond, hazelnut, chestnut, pistachio, pine nut, and pecan. The WG aims to represent European researchers working with these shell fruit species. Breeders, plant pathologists, plant physiologists, food scientists, and other researchers involved in nursery production, micropropagation, pathogen and insect management, cultivar and rootstock evaluation, orchard systems, post-harvest handling, and market analysis of shell fruit species are invited to join the WG. The group is interested in emerging trends and the research results of its members and therefore plans to organize a two-day meeting every other year.
